MISW: Mitigation of space weather threats to GNSS services

The purpose of the MISW (Mitigation of space weather threats to GNSS services) project is to tackle the research challenges associated with GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and Space Weather to bring practical solutions right into the forefront of European Industry.

MISW has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 607081. The project started in February 2014 and will continue until July 2016. It is coordinated by University of Bath).

EISCAT is responsible for providing measurements of electron density as function of altitude since 2007, estimated from incoherent scatter data.
