EISCAT 3D Kaiseniemi

The EISCAT 3D site in Kaiseniemi, Sweden consists of 55 hexagonal antenna units, working together as on big antenna. This is one of the two receiving sites in the EISCAT 3D system. The site i located about 70 km. northwest of Kiruna.

The array is surrounded by three masts for calibration, lights and lightening conduction and and intrusion fence. The square site is 100 by 100 meters and the array is about 50 meters in diameter.
