EISCAT procures regularly parts and material for its installations in Finland, Norway, including Svalbard and Sweden. During some years now, a major undertaking has been the construction of the new EISCAT_3D system. Most major procurements for EISCAT_3D have been completed but some few remain. These are indicated here. When a procurement opens, it will be highlighted below.

Wrecking of 32 meter antennas in Kiruna and Sodankylä

Opened 6 February 2024: The enquiry describes the scope and requirements for demolition and final removal of the old EISCAT 32m dish antennas located at the EISCAT Kiruna, Sweden and EISCAT Sodankylä, Finland sites. The enquiry is for removing both antennas, but a Tenderer can opt for offering removal at just one of the sites. The enquiry also stipulates that the resulting scrap-metal will be owned by the Tenderer, which can then make best use of its value. The tender material can be found here and the Q&A section is reopened to handle this tender. Deadline for offers is set to 27 March 2024.
