INPROCAP (Building Innovation Procurement Capabilities in Big Science) is a three-year, EU-funded project under the Horizon Europe programme. The project aims to strengthen innovation procurement skills and capacity across the European Big Science sector by bringing together research infrastructures, industry partners, procurement specialists, and innovation experts.
Through training activities, knowledge sharing, networking events, and collaboration with industry, INPROCAP helps research organisations explore new approaches to procurement that can stimulate innovation and support the development of advanced technologies. The project also seeks to increase engagement with European start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creating opportunities for businesses to contribute innovative solutions to the needs of large-scale scientific facilities.
As a partner EISCAT contributes its expertise as a leading European research infrastructure and works alongside other project partners to strengthen links between research organisations and industry. By fostering knowledge exchange and promoting innovative procurement practices, INPROCAP supports the long-term development of world-class research infrastructures across Europe.
